Some of the better hotels in Cuernavaca offer a nice view over the city with the mountains in the backgroud on the southern horizon. Xochicalco is over there and in the evening the city lights glow in the dark valley. The hotels in the northern part of the city are about half an hour away from the zócalo of Cuernavaca. They also have decent restaurants where you can enjoy a nice dinner with glass of wine, or you might preferr a cup of tasty mexican coffee while you observe the changing illumination of the city in the vanishing evening light. |
When we talk about accomodation in the city of, Cuernavaca, Morelos, we can be sure that we will find a place to stay for all kinds of budgets. The variety of tourist accomodation in Cuernavaca, Cuautla and other municipalities in the State of Morelos goes from five star hotels, over guest houses and apartments to cheap accomodations for students and low budget travellers. |

Alpuyeca |
||||||||||||
| The town of Alpuyeca offers a variety of tourist atractions such as the 'botaneras' and famous ice cream stands, and off course it is very close to the Xochicalco Pyramids. You can drive over the highway until you take the Alpuyeca / Tequesquitengo exit. It also counts with a certain proximity to the Cacahuamilpa caves. In the town of Alpuyeca there are several hotels for various tourism classes. We recommend the ones on the right. |

Oaxtepec |
||||||||||||
| Oaxtepec is a small town with lots of water. It is well known througout Mexico and Morelos due to the Vacational Center of the MexicanSocial Security Institute, the IMSS, which however is not the biggest hotel in the area. Club Dorado's Oaxtepec has about 10 more beds than the IMSS but it is an entirely different experience of relaxation. Staying at Oaxtepec suggests short half day trips to Tlayacapan, Yautepec or Tepoztlán where you can watch the valley from the pyramids at the top of the Tepozteco, or the local people producing their pottery for the local and international market. |
